Los Angeles: Adele will be singing for the first time since her throat surgery at this year’s Grammy awards. Just two months after she underwent throat surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord, Adele, 23, will return to the stage for the first time since announcing the cancelation of her North American tour, reported People magazine.

“Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait (sic),” Adele, who is currently dating former financier Simon Konecki, tweeted Tuesday. It was already a big night for Adele since she is nominated in six categories and the awards will be another special milestone for the British singer.

The singer, whose tunes about heartbreak and healing have fueled her fame, calls the February 12 performance “an absolute honor.”

“For it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-wracking. But what a way to get back into it all,” she says in a statement.

Adele is nominated for record of the year, song of the year and best short form music video for ‘Rolling in the Deep’; album of the year and best pop vocal album for 21; and best pop solo performance for ‘Someone Like You’. (PTI)
