SHILLONG: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has extended the suspension period of three of its district council leaders for a month.
In letters to the trio on Wednesday, the party said Latiplang Kharkongor, James Sylliang and Blanding Warjri would remain suspended from September 7 till October 7.
The decision was taken by the central executive committee of the party.
The party maintains that the three MDCs extended their support to the Khasi Hills Democratic Alliance without its knowledge of the party.
In July, the three MDCs failed to respond to the show-cause notices issued to them and also rejected the party’s call for talks.
