Zenith, Pyngrope, Ampareen among new AICC secretaries from N-E

GUWAHATI:  Three senior Congress leaders from Meghalaya are among the seven from the region, who have been appointed secretaries of All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Congress leaders from Meghalaya Zenith Sangma, Charles Pyngrope and Amapareen Lyngdoh have been appointed secretaries of the AICC along with two senior party leaders from Assam, former state power minister Pradyut Bordoloi and  former legislator  Bhupen Bora.

The party has also appointed Victor Keishing from Manipur and Pradyot Deb Barman from Tripura as the secretaries of the AICC.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi named the news secretaries from Northeast on Friday.

Among the newly appointed secretaries, Pradyut Bordoloi has made the in-charge of Nagaland and Bhupen Bora has been assigned to look after Tripura, an AICC communiqué informed.

Meghalaya Congress leader Zenith Sangma has been made in charge for Arunachal Pradesh while Pyngrope has been given the charge of Manipur. Ampareen Lyngdoh has been made the in-charge of Mizoram.
