Man cheated
Tengba G Momin lodged a complaint that three persons, viz., SK Pandey, Ranjith Mondal and Puspendra Kumar contacted him over phone and proposed to install 4G Airtel Tower on his land. They asked him to furnished documents along with Rs. 32,000/- as processing fee. After submission of documents and the money, the complainant found that he was cheated.
Trespassing
Vinay Kumar Rai of Upper Oakland, Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 14, his house owner viz., C.S. Thakur along with C.L. Singh trespassed into his house and ransacked all the belongings. In the process, following items were found missing from the house: cash RS. 45,000/-, gold chain, gold ring, mobile phone, LPG cylinder, CD player, CFL/Halogen bulbs, etc.
Theft
Lansothung S Yanthan of Tiabi Hostel, Nongshiliang Nongthymmai Block-5, Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 14 around 3.30 pm, Augustin Lyngdoh (24) was caught red handed while stealing shoes from the hostel. Police arrested the accused.
Assault
Jamila Bibi of Chorbatapara village (WGH) lodged a complaint that on September 13 around 2 pm, four persons identified as, Aminur, Ziarul, Ashraful and Kocchee, assaulted the complainant, her husband and her son. They also threatened her with dire consequences.
