SHILLONG: A woman from Umsning gave birth to a baby girl inside a 108 ambulance on the way to the hospital at Umsamlem, Ri Bhoi on Saturday eveining.
According to a statement issued here, Dr Rudy of Umsning CHC called 108 and referred a case to Nongpoh Bethany for assistant in a case of non progressive labour. However, on reaching Umsamlem, the woman delivered a baby girl. Medical assistant who was on duty helped the woman in delivery.
