Sohra panel to meet Conrad for new district

SHILLONG: South East Khasi Hills District Demand Forum will meet Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma to submit its memorandum on the demand for upgradations of Sohra Civil Sub-Division into a full-fledged district with headquarter in Sohra.
John W. Thabah, Joint Secretary, South East Khasi Hills District Demand Forum said they will soon be meeting the Chief Minister.
The Forum also expressed its gratitude to the support from all quarters on the demand for upgradation of Sohra Civil Sub-Division into a full-fledged district.
The Forum also thanked all traditional heads, headmen, women bodies, youth bodies, NGOs, and prominent persons of Sohra and Shella area who took part in the gathering held at Swami Vivekananda Hall, Ramakrishna Mission on September 8, to express their support to the demand.
