KOHIMA: The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has decided to lift the abeyance notice issued earlier on Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) across Eastern Nagaland following settlement of their demands.

In a statement ENSF General Secretary Changsang Soted said the implementing department and administration should also convene an awareness programme with ENSF units in their district headquarters and sub-division of Shamator and Noklak in Tuensang district latest by February 12 so that they could disseminate adequate information to the people in rural areas.

Earlier, the ENSF had said SECC exercise in Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire would be kept in abeyance till the state government invited the Centre and convened a consultative meeting with the federation. (UNI)
