Seminar
The department of Environmental Management, William Carey University, Shillong will be organising a one-day seminar on Emerging Environmental Trends for Sustainable Development: Issues and Challenges, on September 26 sponsored by the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority, Government of Meghalaya and Department of Atomic Energy for Exploration and Research, North Eastern Region, Government of India.

Local trekking
Youth Hostels Association of India Meghalaya State Branch is going to organise its 2nd local trekking programme on October 20. The route of the trekking will be Jowai to Rynji Falls. Participants will be transported by bus from government youth hostel Shillong to Jowai and at the end of the trekking from Rynji falls back to Shillong Government Youth Hostel. Registration forms are available at government youth hostel Shillong during office hours. Last date for submission of forms is October 13.

World Rabies Day
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association, Ri Bhoi district, will celebrate World Rabies Day 2018 on the theme ‘Rabies: Share The Message. Save A Life’ at Nongpoh Community Hall at 11am on Friday.
