Salahuddin verdict deferred

SHILLONG: The verdict on Bangladeshi politician Salahuddin Ahmed, who entered Shillong without valid documents in May 2015 and subsequently arrested, was deferred on Friday.
A lawyer dealing with the matter said after the trial was over a few months ago, the verdict is awaited.
He said it was up to the lower court to pronounce the verdict.
Sources said the verdict is expected to be delivered on November 15.
