SHILLONG: Victoria defeated Clique United by seven wickets and Occult beat Matrisangha by 62 runs in the Second Division Shillong Cricket League played at the Cricket Ground, Polo.
In the first match, Clique United won the toss and elected to bat scoring 101 for the loss nine wickets in 20 overs. Ricky scored 42 in 52 balls while Santosh (4/15) and Sonu (3/16) were the pick of the bowlers for Victoria. In reply, Victoria cruised to 103/3 in 16.2 overs. S.Myrthong scored 46 runs of 38 balls and Sujon scored 25 of 48 balls while Benny (1/15) was the best among the Clique bowlers.
In the second match, Occult won the toss and elected to bat scoring a competitive 152/6 in 20 overs. Mousim scored a brisk 40 in 33 balls while Kishore took three wickets for 26 runs. In reply, Matrisangha were bundled out for 90 in 14.5 overs. Kishore scored 26 runs in 38 balls while Ranjan returned with a five-wicket haul (5/14) for Occult.
Meanwhile, the finals of the First Division League will be played between Wahingdoh SC and Lumdiengjri SC on Wednesday.
