Constable dies
It is reported that on September 30, Battalion Constable Dilip M Sangma of 4th MLP Battalion, HQ Sohpian,West Khasi Hills was brought to Civil Hospital, Nongstoin where the attending MO declared him brought dead. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.
Man held for burglary
On October 1 around 10.30 am, Banroplang Jyrwa was apprehended at Golden Estate, Nongthymmai in Shillong while he was running away after committing theft in the residence of Norbel L Dkhar. One purse containing money and two mobile phones were recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused.
