SHILLONG: The tyranny of the Shella Dorbar Shnong has yet again hit the papers after it was alleged that many members of the village were ostracized by the secretary of the Dorbar without any reason.

This high-handedness of the secretary of the Shella village dorbar has stirred anger among the residents of Shella who acted accordingly by registering protest against the secretary on Thursday.Talking to the press here on Thursday, recently ostracized member of the village, Kondro Ksanlah condemned the dictatorial functioning of the secretary of the village dorbar Tobias Tiewdoh.

By ostracizing the members of the village dorbar, the secretary is going against the constitution of the Shella dorbar shnong”, Ksanlah said.

It may be recalled that Ksanlah, a former Secretary of Shella was ostracized by the village dorbar just because he joined as a member of the Dorbar Hima of the Wahadadar.

However, on January 12, he had filed an FIR at Shella Police Station alleging that the decision to ostracize was taken at a village dorbar of just 17-18 people present on November 12, 2011.

“I have taken up the matter with the Deputy Commissioner. The DC has ordered for an inquiry which was conducted by Sub-Division Magistrate”, Ksanlah informed.Ksanlah further informed Tiewdoh has taken similar action against 68 other members of the village without any evidence against them.
