TURA: The residents of Fancy Valley and Beldarpara along with the senior citizens of Tura Market and its adjoining areas have thanked Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma for directing the police department to consider the opening of the police parade ground for the general public of the town.

“As there are no playgrounds or children’s park near the market and its adjoining areas, the decision to open the ground to the public will serve as an opportunity for kids, aspiring athletes and sportsman for regular practice, and for senior citizens for pollution free jogging and morning and evening walks,” the residents said.

The resident also expressed appreciation to West Garo Hills SP, Dr M G R Kumar for immediately issuing a notification facilitating the use of the ground for fixed hours of the day by the public.
