2 held, cell phones recovered

 SHILLONG: The Principal, St Edmund’s College, Shillong on February 9 produced two persons Rilang Suting and Remius Pohrmen at Laitumkhrah Police Station who were apprehended while snatching cell phone form one security guard of the college.

However, two of their accomplices managed to escape along with the cell phones. Police recovered three cell phone covers from their possession. Probe is on.

In another incident, on February 8 at around 2:40 am, the conductor of a night bus (ML-05-0707) molested one Dona Daimei inside the bus in between Jorabat and Nongpoh, Ribhoi District and also threatened her with dire consequences.

Meanwhile, on February 11 at around 6am, the body of one Dany Kharkongor (48) was found lying near BSF Gate at Mawpat, Shillong. The cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for postmortem.
