Applications for nomination, recommendation for the Pa Togan N Sangma Award for Art and Literature, U Tirot Sing Award for social services, U Kiang Nangbah Award for Sport & Games for the year 2019 For the Meghalaya Day Award is open, an official statement informed on Thursday. Forms will be available in the office of the DC, EJH, Khliehriat & Saipung C&RD Block, DIPR offices during office hours. The last date for submission of forms is November 30.

Blood donation
The Meghalaya State Blood Transfusion Council is organising its annual blood donation camp at St. John’s Hall, Laban on Friday from 11 am to 1 pm.
Movie release
Khasi film, U Paila will be released at Bijou Cinema Hall on Friday. The movie will be shown at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm on the opening day.
MUPSTA
The general meeting of MUPSTA, Ribhoi unit will be held on October 27 at Nepali UP School, Nongpoh, at 11 am. The association has requests all the teachers who are under the banner of the MUPSTA (Improved System & Adhoc) who are under the jurisdiction of the Ribhoi to attend the meeting.
