Meghalaya to participate in national Muaythai c’ship

SHILLONG: The Muaythai Association of Meghalaya is sending a contingent to participate in the ‘arts of eight limbs’ Ranking Tournament for the National Muaythai Championship 2018 to be held in Pune from November 15-18. The tournament is being organised by the United Amateur Muaythai Association-India (UAMA-India). The team which consists of two international level Muaythai athletes — Monica Nongrum of Umsawnongkharai in Ri Bhoi and Babit Kharsahnoh of Smit — is being led by Muaythai referee Angelus Sun and senior official Fourwell Lyngshiang Khongmalai. In the last edition of the National Championship in 2017 held in Shillong, Meghalaya was adjudged the best team in Muaythai in the country.
