Meghalaya leaders set to campaign for Mizoram polls

SHILLONG: Several ministers from Meghalaya are scheduled to campaign in Mizoram that is going to polls on November 28.
Sources said Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who is also the national president of the NPP, will visit Mizoram on November 20 and he will campaign for three days.
Another Cabinet Minister and BJP leader, AL Hek, is also set to visit the poll-bound state to campaign for BJP candidates. He is one of the star campaigners of the BJP in Mizoram.
Hek will campaign for two days.
Meanwhile, Congress legislator from Meghalaya Ampareen Lyngdoh, who is also AICC’s in charge Mizoram, is leaving for the state on Saturday.
Sources said most of the NPP MLAs and ministers will visit Mizoram individually as well for campaigning and Deputy Chief Minister and NPP leader Prestone Tynsong too is set to leave for Mizoram in a few days’ time.
