Six Himas pay 1/8 share to KHADC

SHILLONG: Six Himas pay 1/8 share to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and the total amount paid during the year 2017-18 is Rs 15, 05, 250.

The Himas that pay the 1/8 share are the Hima of Sohra, Nongstoin, Rambrai, Jirang, Langrin and Nongjri with Hima Nongstoin paying the highest share with Rs 11, 50, 125.

 

KHADC CEM HS Shylla said there were some Himas who had requested the KHADC to exempt them from paying the 1/8 share as there is no revenue generation.
