SHILLONG: KHADC Executive Member in-charge of Finance Neil Antonio War on Tuesday presented a vote-on-account of Rs 16.31 crore on the first day of the budget session.

The full budget of the 2012-2013 financial year would be presented at the end of the first quarter of June.

The major allocation in the vote-on-account was made for the civil works and development departments i.e Rs 8.28 crore. General Administration Department was allocated Rs 4.12 crore and Rs 1.16 crore was allotted for Forest Administration Department. Rs 87.28 lakh was earmarked for Revenue and Finance departments. During the first day of the budget session, the EC tabled a number of reports including the promotion of Additional Judge of the District Council Courts Kharsyiemlieh as the judge and the report relating to the removal of Goodnight Langrin Syiemlieh from the post of the Syiem of Langrin.
