Rice, atta released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that rice under NFSA, Non-NFSA and wholemeal atta for the month of November, has been released through the respective fair price shops w.e.f Thursday. AAY at the scale of 35 kg per card at the rate of Rs. 3 per kg, PHH at the scale of 5 kg per units at the rate of Rs. 3 per kg, T.O. at the scale of 7 kg per household at the rate of Rs. 11.70 to Rs. 12 per kg and wholemeal atta at the scale of 5.5 kg and 3.5 kg for urban and rural areas respectively at the rate of Rs. 8 per kg.
Cultural event
Metallica – Sargam Sports & Cultural Club, Shillong in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, East Khasi Hills organised an evening on inter-state cultural exchange programme, under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, where youths from Uttar Pradesh and Meghalaya exchanged their unique cultural diversity. The chief guest of the programme was D. Rapsang, DYC, NYKS, Shillong and guest of honour was Prof Dhira Bhowmick from Shillong College.
Orientation programme
Orientation programme on ‘Teaching methods, pattern of Examination and Evaluation’ based on CBSE syllabus for the Higher Secondary teachers of Economics under MBoSE will be held at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah at 10 am on Friday. All Higher Secondary teachers of Economics are invited.
