JOWAI: The All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organisation (AJYWO) has demanded early completion of Khliehriat Hospital.

An AJYWO delegation led by its president MH Dkhar and general secretary JR Siangshai on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Health Minister Rowel Lyngdoh in this regard.

“Early completion of the hospital will greatly benefit the people of the entire Khliehriat Sub-division,” Dkhar later said

“We have lost many precious lives due to non-existence of a good hospital in the area. In case of emergency, patients have to be rushed to either Jowai or Shillong,” he said adding several patients died in the last few months half way due to traffic jam along the National Highway”, Dkhar added.
