Delhi Daredevils renamed team as ‘Delhi Capitals’

NEW DELHI: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils on Tuesday renamed their team’s name as ‘Delhi Capitals’ in a function in the capital announced by owners GMR Group and JSW Sports. Shikhar Dhawan will play for the Delhi franchise team after 11 years, the owners added. The team has also announced its new logo. Mohammed Kaif was earlier named as the team’s assistant coach while Ricky Ponting continues to be the head coach of the team. (UNI)
