Abducted fuel pump employees released in EGH

TURA: The three petrol pump employees from Nongalbibra in South Garo Hills (SGH) , who were kidnapped three days ago, were release unharmed on Thursday at Gare Nawak near Nengkra in East Garo Hills  district.

Shib Kumar Patel, Dharmendra Patel and Witley Sangma were abducted from Amasa petrol pump in Pathargittim under Nongalbibra police station on December 10 by five armed men.

When contacted, SGH, SP Abraham T Sangma confirmed the released and said that all three were set free sometime in the afternoon and are currently under police custody.

“We hope that the victims cooperate with us so that the culprits can be nabbed soon,” Sangma said.

While it has not been confirmed, it is being suspected that the three employees were released after the payment of ransom.
