Office bearers
The triennial election of the office bearers of Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI), Meghalaya Branch for the term 2019-2022 will be held on the government youth hostel premises at 2 pm on February 16. YHAI members can collect nomination forms from the state secretary D Chakraborty and from SK Choudhury (Matri Bhumi), Rilbong. The last date of submission of nomination form is January 15. Election will be conducted for the post of president, vice-president, chairman and treasurer.
Exhibition
Governor Tathagata Roy will inaugurate an integrated photo exhibition on Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas and rare photographs of Mahatma Gandhi at the Indoor Stadium, JNS Complex at Polo at 11 am on Monday. The exhibition will be organized by the Bureau of Outreach & Communication.
Rally
A rally will be organised on the occasion of Vijay Diwas from Hotel Centre Point, Shillong at 8 am on Sunday.
Compensatory holidays
The Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration (A) Department has informed that all Government offices and all Revenue and Magisterial Courts of the state shall be closed on December 28 and 31 as compensatory holidays. However, in compensation all such offices and courts will remain opened on March 23 and 30, 2019 (Saturdays).
