SHILLONG: A few existing vacancies have been filled in the State Police depart-ment following the promotion of several police officers.
On the recommendation of the departmental promotion committee, junior grade MPS officers have been promoted to senior MOSS officers.
As per the notification issued here on Friday, Rupam Marak on his promotion has been transferred as the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), South West Garo Hills, while Bijay Chettri has been posted as ASP, Jowai.
I.O Swer is now posted as Deputy Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, while Anil Kumar Sangma is posted as Additional Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills.The new Deputy Commandant, 6TH MLP battalion is Sadeep K Biswa.
