SHILLONG: The Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Tura, West Garo Hills which is lying idle quite some time, will be shortly handed over to the Transport Department to make it functional.
Urban Affairs Minister Hamlet Dohling who had recently conducted an inspection of the ISBT, said that everything is done from the department and now they will hand over the project to the Transport department.
“As soon as we hand over the project to them, it will be their duty to see that ISBT becomes functional at the earliest,” Dohling said.
The ISBT, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 45 crore, can accommodate 50 buses at a time plying to and from all corners of the state to the West Garo Hills.
