Residents demand to retain Syiem

SHILLONG: The residents of Hima Nongspung led by headmen and Lyngdoh of the Hima marched to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) office demanding of the CEM not to remove Petrik Syiemiong as Syiem asserting that the residents have nothing against him.
The residents carried placards and banners slamming five persons who complained to the KHADC against Syiemiong. The residents claimed the five persons made baseless allegations against Syiemiong.
