SHILLONG: More than 100 people from the Indo-Bangladesh border area were given vision corrective glasses and three were operated for cataract under the National Blindness Control programme on December 29 by a team of doctors from BSF composite Hospital, Shillong. An eye screening was previously conducted in November.
The BSF has organised 11 medical camps for the border populace this year. Besides, several civic action programmes were also organised for the border people.
