NONGSTOIN: The District Magistrate West Khasi Hills district has imposed an order under section 144 CrPc in the whole of West Khasi Hills district prohibiting rat-hole mining of coal/illegal mining if any in violation of the NGT order. Anyone found violating the order shall be prosecuted under relevant Laws.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect and until further orders.
