One killed, 3 injured in Assam firing

 Guwahati: One worker died and three others were injured following a clash between a mob of workers and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Brahmaputra Crackers and Polymers Limited (BCPL) at Lepetkata in Dibrugah district on Friday.

A senior police official informed that one injured worker was killed on way to the hospital and three others were injured when a clash broke out between workers and CISF personnel at the BCPL plant during the lunch time on Friday.

A quarrel between a worker and a CISF jawan snowballed into the violence with agitated workers going on a rampage after the CISF jawan beat up a worker.
