Forest, MLP register wins

SHILLONG: Forest defeated Sales XI by 72 runs while MLP defeated MeECL by 21 runs in the Inter Office cum Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament at Cricket Ground, Polo.In the first match, Forest scored a competitive 161/3 in 20 overs after they chose to bat first on winning the toss. Ebormi with a quickfire 91* of 59 balls was instrumental in taking his side to the comparitively massive total. In reply, Sales XI could only manage 89/5 in the allotted 20 overs.Purojit scored 45 not out 46 balls while Babloo took two wickets. In the other match, MLP,batting first, piled up 142/4 in 20 overs. Wallambok scored 52 of 45 balls while Reginald grabbed two wickets for his side. In reply, MeECL fell short of the target by 21 runs. Robert scored 40 of the 121 runs MeECL scored losing eight wickets in the process while Pradeep (2/17) was the pick of the bowlers for his side.
