HC curbs on bandh publicity

Shillong: Keeping in view the fluid law and order situation prevailing in the District,  the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills reminded the standing order of the High Court of Meghalaya pertaining to calling of bandhs, hartals, road blockades and holding of rallies with unlawful designs by the banned outfits or any other organizations which is in violation to the fundamental rights of the common citizens as guaranteed in Article 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India.
HC has directed both print and electronic media to refrain from publicizing any such statements relating to bandhs, hartals etc.
