WGH DC hands over Photo Electoral Rolls to political parties

TURA: West Garo Hills (WGH)  Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh handed over the Final Publication of Photo Electoral Rolls to the members of Political parties today at DRDA Conference Hall in Tura.  It may be mentioned that the Electoral roll has been prepared for the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll with reference to January 1 2019 as the qualifying date.

 In his brief address, Ram Singh hoped that the publication would be widely circulated among the people especially voters of the district and would also help to facilitate the voting of persons with disabilities in the area. He expressed his satisfaction that the special campaign held in schools and colleges have tremendously helped to enroll many young voters in the district. A total of about 5276 have been newly enrolled in the final electoral roll 2019.

 The DC also informed that the Photo Electoral Rolls for the Assembly Constituencies of 46-Phulbari (Gen), 47-Rajabala (Gen), 48-Selsella (ST), 50-North Tura (ST), 51-South Tura (ST) 52-Rangsakona (ST), 56-Gambegre (ST) and 57-Dalu (ST) under West Garo Hills district have been published and are available for inspection.
