SHILLONG: Nongshken independent MDC Grace Mary Kharpuri has decided to contest in the upcoming 2013 Assembly election from Shella constituency.
The confirmation came following a meeting of residents of seven villages under the Nongshken constituency which have now been attached with Shella after the delimitation of constituencies.
Residents of the seven villages (Tynriang, Umihuh Tmar, Wahsherkhmut, Pungweikyn, Rana, Tishang and Nongjri) have also unanimously decided to support Kharpuri in the upcoming election.
