Dry Day declared on January 26 in North Garo Hills

TURA: The District Magistrate North Garo Hills, Resubelpara has notified that Dry Day under Section 52 (1) of the Meghalaya Excise Act has been declared on January 26 on account of Republic Day celebration. 

 Accordingly, all IMFL retail shops and Bonded Warehouses under North Garo Hills district shall remain closed on that day and any violation of the order will be viewed seriously and action taken as per Meghalaya Excise Rules, a release issued said.
