SHILLONG: Shortly after the dead body of one of the trapped coal miners had been retrieved on Thursday afternoon, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said that the Government would take a call on the rescue operations only after taking advice of the experts who were engaged on the ground.
Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said that the Government would like to continue with the operations but it all depended on the advice of the experts
“We would like to retrieve all the bodies and that that is our intention but if the expert team feels that it is beyond their capacity , we will take a call on the matter,” he said
Admitting that the expenditure incurred in the rescue operations is huge, Tynsong maintained that the Government has left it to wisdom of the experts to recommend to the Government if the operations should continue or should it be called off.
