1 dead, 10 injured in Rongram accident

TURA: One person was  killed and ten others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and went off the road near Rongram town, 15 Kms from Tura, on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at Aguragre village of Rongram at around 7:30 in the morning when a Mahindra Pik Up truck ( ML08 F 8722) packed with labourers was heading towards Asanang.
According to police, as many as ten occupants of the vehicle, mostly construction workers, sustained injuries and had to be rushed to Tura Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
One of the injured victims, Moni Ali (22) of Kalapani village in Mankachar was declared “brought dead” by doctors at the hospital.
Two other passengers who sustained serious injuries, Lutfor Ali (18) and Habibor Ali (30) of Mankachar has been admitted in the hospital for further medical treatment while seven others were released after being administered first aid.
