Three killed in separate accidents

SHILLONG/nongstoin: An auto fell into a gorge at Mawlangren village in West Khasi Hills resulting in the death of a 58-year-old man identified as Khrien Sohphoh on Monday. Eight were also injured including the driver.
The incident occurred around 1 pm. The auto (ML-05D-9130) was driven by 19-year-old Khrawkupar Thabah.
The injured were taken to PHC Kynshi for treatment.
On January 29 around 7.30 am, a Mahindra pick-up (ML-08F-0087) met with an accident at Aguragre village in West Garo Hills.
As a result, seven occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Tura for treatment where one of the victims identified as Moni Ali was declared brought dead by the attending MO. Necessary formalities were observed.
On January 26 around 8 am, a Tata Sumo (ML-10A-5443) driven by Rupar R Marak collided with one motorcycle (AS-18A-1435) ridden by Haidar Ali at Bolmedang village (NGH).
As a result, rider of motorcycle sustained injuries and later succumbed to his injuries while he was on the way to Guwahati for treatment. Necessary formalities were observed.
