Faculty development programme concludes at NEHU Tura

SHILLONG: A faculty development programme jointly organised by the Entrepreneurship Cell, Placement & Counseling Cell and Department of Management, NEHU, Tura Campus in collaboration with Tura Christian College kicked off from January 21 and concluded on Saturday.
Dr. Abhigyan Bhattacharjee, In-charge, Placement and Counseling Cell and Associate Professor also the coordinator of the development programme briefed the gathering about the programme.
U.K. Sangma, Former Secretary, NEC and DONER was the chief guest of the valedictory function and Sundar Sangma, vice president, International Ministry Development, HAGGAI International was the guest of honour.
Prof. G. Singaiah, Pro Vice Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus in his speech applauded the completion of the FDP and wished all success to the faculty members in their career.
Prof. Milton A. Sangma, senior citizen and founding Pro Vice Chancellor of Tura Campus among others was also present in the function.
The faculty development programme aimed at equipping teachers with skills and knowledge that are essential for inculcating entrepreneurial values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress towards entrepreneurial career.
This is the fourth time that such programme has been initiated by the Entrepreneurship Cell Tura Campus. The programme was sponsored by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science & Technology and conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India North Eastern Regional Office, Guwahati.
