ICAR  NEH to host NABEC 2019 from February 9

SHILLONG: The Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre at the ICAR Research Complex for NEH region, Umiam near here is organising a “National Agri-Business Entrepreneurship Conclave (NABEC 2019)” along with the Krishi Unnati Mela from February 9 to 11.

About 500 participants including entrepreneurs, startups, innovative farmers, financial institutions, consultants, business service providers, buyers ,scientists, agriculture and  management students, incubators, extension personals, public representatives, policy makers and industrial partners etc., are participating in the conclave from all over the country. This conclave focuses unique innovative platform to achieve a successful agribusiness start-up ecosystem.

The agricultural sector has been thronged by the streams of educated youth, fired by ideas, passion and innovations to launch newer technological based Agri-business products.

These start-ups are providing missing link in the agri-value chain and delivering efficient products, technologies and services to framers on one hand and the consumers on the other hand. Considering the above in mind, Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre, ICAR Research Complex NEH Region, is organising a three-day National Agri- business Entrepreneurship Conclave.

It is a unique opportunity to meet other start-ups and entrepreneurs and an open playground to network and collaborate. The main objective of the conclave is to provide with an innovative platform to bring entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, technical experts, educated youth, policy makers and mentors under one roof.

To share knowledge, technology, start-up ideas, innovative ventures, technology commercialisation, convergence of institute support mechanism to create optimum, agri-business ecosystem. The conclave also intends to create business partnership through start-up exhibition and buyer-seller meet, market networking and support for linkage.
