Assam to get $81million ADB loan

Guwahati: Multilateral agency Asian Development Bank will extend a $81 million loan to Assam under a scheme for providing piped drinking water to the city and other projects.

An agreement to this effect was signed between ADB and the Assam government on Friday.

The first tranche of Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Programme (AUIIP) aims to bring clean, piped water to about 350,000 Guwahati residents. (PTI)
