New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who worked with filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh in multi-starrer Aladin, says director’s Kahaani is a brilliant film.

The 69-year-old watched the film yesterday and took to his Twitter account to congratulate Ghosh.

“So … finally watched Kahaani, the new release made by my dear mad friend Sujoy Ghosh, who made Aladin with me. And my message to him after all the congratulatory tones was – ‘what the heck were you doing all this while making films like Aladin???’,” Bachchan posted.

The actor, who has sung Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ in the film, said he was not sure about his voiceover in the movie.

“Such a wonderfully gripping story shot superbly and enacted by all the cast so deliciously. I feel a sense of great joy to be in some minuscule manner a part of this film in commentary and song. I am often wary of voice overs to film. Most of the time they fail ! But I am certain this one will keep the box office flag flying… well done Sujoy, and keep up the good work… !!.”

Meanwhile, Kahaani actress Vidya Balan, says she has achieved a lot more than she ever expected to in her seven-year Bollywood career.

“I am feeling very good. Actually, I am speechless to tell how wonderful and happy I am feeling,” the 33-year-old said here at an event.

“I always thought of receiving at least one National award in my career. I am just seven years old in the industry and I already have a National award to my credit. As I said, I have got much more than I had expected. I am feeling very content,” she added.

Vidya forayed into Bollywood in 2005 with Parineeta and received the Filmfare award for best female debut for her role as Lolita.

The year 2011 proved to be splendid for the actress, whose No One Killed Jessica and The Dirty Picture received accolades.

Vidya’s latest Kahaani is also fetching the actress rave reviews for her performance as a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband. Her ‘women of substance’ roles in films have earned her the label of the ‘female Aamir Khan’.

On her part, however, Vidya, says that being compared to Aamir Khan is a matter of honour for her. In fact, Vidya admits to being inspired by Aamir whether it be in her choice of films or the way she goes all out to market her films (PTI)
