BSS to celebrate 124th birth anniv of founder

SHILLONG: The 124th birth anniversary of Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj, Founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), will be observed on the occasion of Maghi Purnima on the premises of Ashram here in Jail Road, Shillong from February 18 to 20.
Financial assistance will be distributed among sixty students from economically weaker section of society, a yajna and other charitable activities will mark the occasion.
On the evening of February 18, a yajna will be performed by the monks of BSS followed by Abhi-sheka (bathing) of Revered Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj on February 19.
On this day normal devotees are allowed to bathe the Lord according to their choices, a practice otherwise confined to the monks of BSS.
