SHILLONG: The additional advocate general has apprised the High Court of Meghalaya on Tuesday that the charge sheet regarding the assault case of activists, Agnes Kharshiing and Amita Sangma, will be filed soon.
“Investigation has almost been completed and final report under Section 173 CrPC (charge sheet) will be presented before the court of competent jurisdiction after receiving requisite reports from the service providers of mobile phones and FSL,” the additional advocate general said.
He sought three weeks’ time and it was granted by the court.
During the hearing, the investigating officer probing the assault case filed an additional affidavit indicating under what circumstances the statement of the accused Nidamon Chullet was recorded as a witness under sections 161 and 164 of the CrPC.
