SHILLONG: The CSWO has expressed its shock to see a letter from Raj Bhavan Secretariat sent to Principal St George School, Nongmynsong,  and a copy of which was sent via WhatsApp to Agnes Kharshiing, President of the CSWO  by the Principal of the St George School, Nongmynsong, who is an accused in a molestation case.
Kharshiing had earlier filed an FIR against the Principal Simon Joseph, who is currently out on bail, for assault and molestation of minor students in his school.
The CSWO wondered as to what was the purpose of forwarding the letter of participation by Meghalaya Governor for a programme organised by the Principal of the school to her which indicates that Simon wants to show his arrogance that he can influence those who are in power. The organisation has urged the Governor instead to speed up the case and provide justice to victims and remove the Principal as he can manipulate the case and target the victims.
The Governor had consented to be the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony of the School’s 27th Annual Sports meet.
“The  Principal of St George School, Nongmynsong sent a copy of the letter of Raj Bhavan to the  President of the CSWO  as she had filed FIR earlier against him for assault and molestation of minor students in this School,” CSWO, General Secretary Evangeline Thabah said.
She said this amounts to mocking those fighting for justice.
