DPDC meeting in Baghmara discusses central schemes

TURA: The District Planning and Developmental Council Meeting was held on Wednesday at DRDA  Training Hall Baghmara where the Action Plan for the year 2019-20 was presented and discussed covering all the State and centrally sponsored schemes in the District. 

MLA and Chairman DPDC, Rakkam A Sangma in his opening remark informed that the departmental performance of South Garo Hills District is perhaps the best performing District compared to other Districts as per their observation in their official tour to other Districts of the State. He however said that there was always room for improvement.

Chokpot MLA Lazarus M Sangma was also present in the fruitful meeting held between the various line departments implementing both the State and Centrally sponsored schemes. 

During the meeting the latest status on the centrally sponsored flagship programmes like MGNREGS, Normal Schemes, NSAP, PMAY-G, Megha- Lamp were presented and the detailed reports on the other schemes like Livestock Mission,  CMSAP, GNWPS, IGNOAPS, IGNDPS, Basin Development,  NRLM etc were also discussed in the daylong meeting.
