TURA: Several organizations from South Garo Hills including the GSU, BCF, Baghmara Youth Council and the Rangdokram Youth Club along with the general public have alleged anomalies and manipulation during the recent DSC examination held at Baghmara and demanded that a fresh examination be conducted again.

In their petition to the South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, the organisations pointed out that as per the rules and regulations of any examination, it was mandatory for invigilators to give their signatures in candidates answer sheets before they leave the examination hall. However, in the recent case a large number of candidates had complained that no signature was put down, indicating manipulation in the examination process.

The organisations also claimed that there was biasness in the selection as many candidates had been rejected for not mentioning their computer courses although it clearly stated (if any) in the form indicating that it was not mandatory. Interestingly, the organisations alleged that some others who also did not mention their computer courses were selected.

According to the organisations, there were also many complaints from candidates that no introductory explanation on OMR Sheets was given by the invigilators making it difficult for many especially the first timers.
