 SHILLONG: A driver of a Mahindra Pick-up vehicle sustained injuries after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree on a roadside at Mukdangra under Betasingh Block, West Garo Hills on Friday. The incident took place when the vehicle was moving towards Harigaon from Tura. The 108 ESA based at Asanang admitted Sangrang Ch Marak (28/male) to Tura Christian Hospital.

Bhanam Kharsati (12/male) sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while he was crossing the road at Mawlai Iewrynghep on Friday. The injured was admitted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.An auto rickshaw (MLO5J–0764) carrying goods was hit from behind by a truck at Marten, Mawlai on the same day. The incident took place while the truck was trying to overtake the auto rickshaw when both the vehicles were traveling in the same direction. The injured Gilbert Kharmawlong was admitted to Civil Hospital.

Meanwhile, a coal laden truck traveling towards Guwahati from Lad Rymbai area overturned after it went off the road at 4th Mile, Lad Nangbah under Jaintia Hills on Friday. The incident took place on a turning while the truck was trying to overtake when another vehicle came from the opposite direction. To avoid a head on collision the truck went off road. The 108 ESA based at Jowai admitted Sunil Boro (35/male), Jiten Nath (27/male) and Rafique Udin (25/male) to Civil Hospital, Jowai.
