119 new recruits yet to report for joining in SF-10, AB/UB group in Meghalaya Police

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Home Minister James Sangma on Thursday informed the state Assembly that so far 131 selected candidates had joined Special Force(SF)-10  of the state police and and 131 in AB/UB group.

As per the statement provided Sangma, the number of candidates who did not report for joining is 65 candidates for posts in SF-10 and 54 candidates for AB/UB group. That makes total 119 candidates who are yet to report for joining.

Congress MLA Mayralborn Syiem had raised a supplementary query on the time-frame given by the department for the posts to be filled up. In response,  Sangma said remaining candidates had not joined and the department was waiting for them to come forward and report.

Stating that the department has given enough time to report, Sangma said the last date for them to report was February 18-22.

He added that the posts would be filled up after the elections.
