GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Friday submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam demanding CBI inquiry into the alleged job scams that has taken place in Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) Department and Information and Public Relations (IPR) Department in Assam government.

A delegation of APCC led by former MP, Bolin Kuli called on Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Friday and submitted a memorandum demanding CBI probe into the ‘gross irreglarities’ that were committed while recruiting 945 fresh staff in P &RD department and 64  staff in IPR department of Government of Assam.

The Congress alleged that norms were blatantly flouted in carrying out the recruitment to the above mentioned government jobs so as to benefit  candidates favoured by the ruling BJP party as well as various officials of these departments.

The opposition Congress party alleged that the recruitment tests were conducted by an outsourced company called Bloom Electronics and results of the tests were declared within 24 hours and appointment were made immediately after completion of unusually hurried police verification process.
